THE ART OF REINVENTION

Carol Counce creates art to help people identify and define important moments and people in life.  She is an artist, mom and encourager of people with an ever-evolving life… striving to change and thrive in it.  Born in Camden, Arkansas she has created art for as long as she can remember.  From high school to Hendrix College on to the University of Arkansas, art has carried her through.  Even in her early career as a weathercaster and journalist, and on through as marketing director of various companies, the creative process continued in advertising.  Her thirties brought on marriage and three children and new responsibilities.  Home décor and painting murals became the new focus along with large commissioned pieces.  The next decade brought on many challenges with great change and a new opportunity for reinvention.  She found that life is difficult and we are all searching for identity and purpose. She believes that as an artist we must be able to use our senses freely to create and develop positive attitudes toward ourselves and our neighbors so that we can learn to become effective for functioning in our world. Northwest Arkansas remains home for her… a place of many blessings.  She strives to represent in her art... the people, places, and history that makes us stir inside and revive our senses leading us to reinvent who we are.
